10 Year Guarantee’s may be standard within our industry and most people feel at ease once they know their windows/ doors or conservatory is covered by a 10 year guarantee. But you’ll never know how much that guarantee is worth until you have a service call that needs attention and waiting days even weeks for stiff lock or drafty window to be repaired can be a real pain.

Now it’s easy for us to say ‘we take out guarantee seriously’ , but how does a prospective customer know that we take our guarantee seriously?

Self Cleaning Glass ?

Does it really work ?

That’s the question we often get asked when we mention Self Cleaning Glass…. and to be honest it does sound a bit far fetched. But that is the claim Pilkingtons made when it was first produced and their ‘Activ Glass’ is still branded as ‘Self Cleaning Glass’

Long Weekend Away

After a busy a December, January and February we decided it was time for a break. Each year we try to do something special to mark my Mum & Dad’s wedding anniversary, this year is was 44 years of marriage to mark! So instead of endless gifts we thought it a better idea to book a large house in the country for all the family, for a long weekend away….. With 11 grandchildren it would need to be a big house.

Reinforced Windows

All windows and doors should be reinforced, that should go without saying. However the type of reinforcing now available can have a big effect on the performance of windows and doors.

At DB we now use as standard RCM (reclaimed composite material) in all windows and doors.
